Has anyone dealt with RJM Acquisitions LLC or have a debt with Washington Mutual?

MISS B asked:

I have a debt with washington mutual for $700, that i want to pay off already, but i have this company called RJM Acquisitions sending me collection letters and i can settle for a $420, but i hesitate, because i’d rather pay washington mutual directly. I searched this company and they don’t have a website, they have even offered me gifts. But it didn’t seem professional. I don’t know what to do. Any advice?

question about the Gemstar buyout; need help?

toodles_1399 asked:

Gemstar has been offered a takeover at 6.35 per share buyout of 55% of the outstanding stock, and 45% will be converted to the equivalent of .2548 shares of Macrovision stock.

i have 1600 shares of Gemstar, the average cost-4.84

what does this mean for me?

obviously i need to take the cash, not the stock conversion. how do i do this, when the deal is completed?

thank you

I just found out through the grape vine that the company i work for might be sold?

ferl k asked:

A friend of mine said that a company that specializes in merging and acquisitions was in contact with our boss. Which to me spells doom. I really need to know if my job would be at risk or not. Should i ask my boss if they are planning to merge r sell the company, or wait it out and see what happens?

What do you think about Shareza’s takeover?

BAK asked:

Shareza was originally an open-source P2P client; until late 2007 when the RIAA took it over & bought the trademark, dubbing it the “official Shareza” with alot of spyware and stuff.

What’re your thoughts?

AirTran Airways to take over Midwest Airlines?

natalie rose asked:

Ok I live in Milwaukee and I do contracted work for Midwest Airlines, AirTran is alot bigger that Midwest obviously, and AirTran doesn’t seem to want to back off of this take-over. Midwest has an amazing reputation as an airline, and Midwest isn’t all that happy. (Milwaukee is Midwests hub) In the city that you live in, what are the things that you hear about this take-over. Do you think Midwest will stay as is, or a takeover from AirTran?

Do public companies have to disclose the cost of an acquisition if the company being acquired is small?

B Slate asked:

Basically I am interestest in finding out if a company listed on NASDAQ that purchased two other website companies recently has to file the price that they paid anywhere, like in their 10-K. They do mention the purchase of these companies in the 10-K, but there is no mention of the price. On the other hand, they purchased another, much larger website, and the price they paid for it was specified in the 10-K. Are there any supplemental filings that might have the price paid for the smaller companies? Thanks very much.
